Ellen's obituary
Ellen came from a family of 11 children: Priscilla, Gloria, Ron, Sue, Bud, Melonie, Alma, Carol, Jimmy, and Randy. Ellen married Bill Martin, the father of her children, when she was sixteen years old. They divorced when their last child, Robert (Bobby) was a year old.
Ellen continued her life being a single mom to 4 children, working in horticulture for over 20 years. For the last 23 years of her life, she spent her time with Bobby and Angela Martin, and her grandchildren Alyssa and Andrew, being a loving presence in their lives.
In retirement Ellen enjoyed spending time with her family, her cat Tara, and her neighbors. She was an avid reader, plant-lover, and an occasional baker. Ellen is remembered for her loving nature, her generosity, kindness, and dedication to her family.
Ellen is survived by her son Robert, her daughter Mitzi, and six grandchildren; Alyssa, Andrew, Alexis, Alexander, Amanda and Ashley.
Ellen was preceded in death by her children, Theresa Briggs and BJ Martin, her mother, Edna, and her father, Floyd, as well as 6 siblings; Priscilla, Carol, Gloria, Ron, Bud, and Randy.
Grandma, you will be deeply and eternally missed. You are in all of our hearts forever. Thank you for everything you've done. We love you so, so much.
