What a shock to find that Ellen has moved on to a higher place, her effervescent personality and passion for many things was so evident in everything. Her absolute delight when they adopted Maya who I am sure is an independent woman today due to Ellen's love and nuturing. RIP and condolences to all who loved her.

Ms Ellen Papciak-Rose was my Art Teacher at Seepapitso Senior Secondary School in Botswana around 1990. She game me my first job in her art shop called Artswana in 1993. I loved her. I know she loved me and believed in me. I am greatly saddened by her death. I cherish all the moments I spent with her. Condolences to Maya, family and friends.

Ellen was such a force, huge condolences to Maya and her family. When I think of Ellen I think of Reese's (thanks for sharing them with me), of hiding our kids new clothes in our carboots until the coast was clear to bring them into the house, and of merciless teasing of architects building “for men”. I only knew Ellen and Jeremy for a short while, and I knew that Maya was the reason for everything. Huge love

Dear Maya, We are so saddened that you - and the world - have lost Ellen. Your mother was one of a kind in the best way possible….a passionate, kind and interested person at her core. We loved seeing the world through her eyes and learned new things from her every time we were together. Our best times included your weekend family visits to NY, and going to museums with you and your parents.
Her love for you was unshakable and I have to believe that will live on in you every day. With love, Amy, Sean and Annabelle (and your admirers Jolly and Mango, who can’t wait to see you again soon)

My thoughts and prayers go to Maya and her brother Jeffrey and his family and her dad Paul. She resides in sunshine now surrounded by all she loves.
