It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Ellen Chinni, who passed away on March 24, 2025. Born on February 26, 1964, Ellen lived a full life and had a profound impact on all who knew her.

Blessed with an intelligent mind and a sharp wit, Ellen was clever and often ebullient, but was also deeply reflective. A graduate of the University of Michigan with a MBA from the University of Chicago, she loved the theater and travel and sports, especially the Bears and Wolverines. She spent years working in the private sector before spending time with the federal government and the Department of Agriculture.

Ellen is predeceased by her beloved father, Dante V. Chinni and her mother Mary Ann Chinni. She cherished her family and will be sorely missed by those she leaves behind.

She is survived by her brother, Dante J. Chinni, and her sister, Christine Chinni, who will always remember the long family car trips across the country they shared as children. Ellen's legacy will continue to thrive in the hearts of her niece, Mia Chinni-Ianzito and her nephew, Dante B. Chinni-Ianzito.

Ellen’s passing leaves a void that can never be filled. 

There will be a small gathering of family and friends to inter Ellen's ashes on August 16, 2025 at noon at Resurrection Cemetery - 18201 River Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038.
