Ellen's obituary
**Obituary for Ellen Allison**
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ellen Allison, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, who left us on September 17, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on June 27, 1951, in Mount Vernon, New York, Ellen lived a life rich with love, resilience, and generosity.
Ellen was the cherished daughter of Angelo and Mary Fucci, who preceded her in death, along with her brother, Angelo. She is survived by her devoted husband of 39 years, Glen Allison, and her adoring children: Dawn Black, Bradford Black and his wife Angie, Rob Allison, Christy Allison Fritz and her husband Sean, and Sean Allison. Ellen was also a proud grandmother to her seven grandchildren: Hailey, Benjamin, Madelyn, Casey, Elaina, Kaden, and Olivia. She is further survived by her sister, Phyllis Giordano, and her husband Bill, as well as her beloved nephews, Jesse and Lucas Giordano, and their families.
Ellen’s life was marked by her unwavering spirit and kindness. She spent over 40 years working in real estate, during which she not only helped countless families find their homes but also took great pride in painting walls and installing floors, creating warmth and beauty in every space she touched. Her generosity extended beyond her professional life; Ellen provided care and support for 45 foster children, ultimately adopting three, embodying her belief that every child deserves love and stability.
Known for her determination, Ellen faced life’s challenges with a spiritual grace that inspired all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness and compassion is evident in the lives she touched, and her memory will forever be a beacon of light for her family and friends.
Ellen battled with cerebral amyloid angiopathy, a rare disease that affects the blood vessels in the brain. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Stroke Association at Stroke.org to support research towards treatment and a cure for this condition that affected her life.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Stroke Recovery Team at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital and Harbor Hospice for their compassionate care during Ellen’s final days.
Ellen Allison will be missed profoundly but remembered with love for her generosity, kindness, and the indelible mark she left on the hearts of so many. Her spirit will continue to live on through her family, friends, and the countless lives she positively impacted throughout her journey.
