Betsey's obituary
Betsey Swanson of Harahan, Louisiana peacefully passed away in New Orleans on November 27, 2025.
Betsey was a respected artist and author known for her photography and architectural writing. She held degrees from Newcombe College and Tulane University. She co-authored and photographed for the acclaimed multi volume New Orleans architectural series. Swansons work, particularly her photography, focused on documenting the architecture of South East Louisiana, often capturing the structures that were disappearing due to time and neglect.
Betsey will be missed by her family and many friends.
