Elizabeth Smith, 43, has passed away in a fateful car crash just outside of Mississippi. Elizabeth (Bessie) was born to parents William and Laura Smith, and is survived by son Jack Gee Jr, and husband Jack Gee. Bessie has contributed many things to not only the musical world, but to the women's movement as well as the African american movement.
