I had the pleasure of meeting Betsy when she & Dane visited Canada in 2008. They came to British Columbia to visit my Mom Jean, Betsy's cousin. They came for brunch and stayed for supper we had so much fun that day - we still talk about it within my family!
Then my husband Dave & I visited Betsy & Dane in 2010 in Gloucester for a week where we met Lisa, Ev and Sigrid.
Betsy taught me how to make an apple pie with 3 kinds of apples plus cheddar in the filling. I think of her every time I make apple pie.
Betsy & I kept in touch through the years after and I only wish that I had known her earlier than 2008. She had a zest for life and was determined to make the most of every day.
Sending condolences to the entire family- I heard about all of you so I feel like I know you.
