She really was my biggest cheerleader.

She called me out of the blue last year and said "they need someone to sing the national anthem, I told them to call you. You sing better than half the bitches they'll try to get for it"

🤣🥰

I don't know if she knew how much that meant to me.

When she found out I was having a girl (our second child) she was Soo excited.. then I explained that you don't really do a second baby shower and she was OUTRAGED lol.

She proceeded to contact our friends and put one together anyway because "it's a giiirrrrllll" it was a nice little get together, and it meant the world to me.

She really adored our kids.. she called Damien Muffin, and Deborah Cupcake.. I think Owen was cookie.. and she showed them unconditional love and support.

I am missing her every day.

Elizabeth’s sister sent me these words and it hit my soul in perfect memory of my baby!        She Was Coming Back

She lost her way for a while—but she was coming back.

After years of struggle, she was finding herself again. Slowly, bravely, beautifully. She had just gotten approved for a transplant. She had a car. She was making plans. She was showing up for her son, for school events, for family. She didn’t want to be trapped in the hospital anymore—she wanted to live.

She loved her son more than anything. He was her heart. And she loved our mom and dad with a depth that never wavered. Her niece and nephews lit her up. She made sure we were all included—rides, reminders, little nudges to come together. She never let me feel left out.

She was creative in quiet ways. She loved to make things, cook things, do hair, color—but never the same thing twice, and always perfectly. She loved jewelry, anything shiny, all things pretty. She hated being short. She always had a drink in her hand and a cup full of ice. That was her.

She had an attitude that could make you grind your teeth—and a heart that could melt you. She could be petty, but never cruel. She cared deeply, fiercely, and sometimes messily. But she cared.

She was almost herself again. And now she’s gone.

But we will remember her not just for how she left, but for how she fought to return. For the love she gave. For the way she made sure we were together. For the sparkle, the sass, the slow-motion comeback.

She mattered. She still does.
