Elizabeth Lanoir Neighbors, 24, passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2025 in Wilmington, NC. 

Born May 3, 2001 in Danville, VA, Elizabeth brought energy and light into the world immediately. Her compassion and humanitarian nature were evident in the many causes she was passionate about.

Elizabeth was a proud graduate of The University of North Carolina at Wilmington; graduating in 2023 with a degree in Sociology.

She is survived by her mother, Elaine Neighbors; father, Dale Barreth II; sister, Kaitlyn Neighbors; paternal grandmother, Tina Barreth; maternal grandparents, Ricky and Betty Neighbors; her beloved French bulldogs, Meechie and Duke; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will dearly miss her. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Dale Barreth.

A small, private ceremony will be held for family.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to the Animal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Elizabeth’s name.
