My condolences to Elizabeth Horton's family. She was full of the love of God that she shared with others without a doubt. She was the most beautiful, and giving person I've ever known. She loved singing praises to the one, and only true God. While worshiping God together we would sing praises, and pray to the living God... always being uplifted... All Glory To God...
Elizabeth was a longtime supporter of Mission To Haiti and a blessing to the people we serve in Haiti. I remember how she came to Haiti with folks from Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She was a joy to be with and to have on the mission teams. Elizabeth will be missed but I'm comforted to know she's with our Savior and Lord.
I will always remember Sister Horton. She was very instrumental in getting me started into MISSIONS. She was passionate about missions. She was such a blessing to all who knew her. Even her voicemail greeting was a blessing. She lived the mantra: J O Y
J - Jesus first
O - Others next
Y - Yourself last
Sister Horton was so tickled when I got married recently and my last name became Horton. She since referred to me as her sister in law. I will truly miss my sister.
Sister Elizabeth Horton was a very special soul. She was one of the most encouraging people I knew. She would always call me and pray with me. She would always ask about my family and ask how my husband and daughter were doing no matter what type of health challenge she was faced with. She wouldn’t complain about anything. She really loved the Lord and was never ashamed to share the Gospel of Christ. I really appreciate the times she would watch my daughter when I had no one else to watch her. Thank you Sis Horton. I’m gonna miss your beautiful smile and your happy joyful presence. Rest in peace❤️🦋🙏🏻
Liz will truly be missed…I’ll never forget all the times shared with her at the church in my youth teaching me how to create and put together church bulletins and then becoming my daughters Godmother. Love you Liz forever ❤️
