I was friends with Beth at Amphi, we were the two Beths. By our senior year, I can honestly say she was the best friend I had at Amphi. I appreciated her friendship more than I can adequately express at this time. I lived out of the district and had to drive to school, so I often offered Beth rides home after school. Then, sometime during senior year she inherited a car…. Maybe from her uncle??? Not sure about that… but it was a Toyota Corona. So then she offered me rides. It was a very interesting car to ride in. We used to have long conversations about Seinfeld… so much that I wonder if she ever petitioned to name one of her kids Cosmo?? We both got our first jobs at Church’s Chicken at Oracle and Magee (it’s a Panda Express now). Beth was far more successful at that job than I was… I only lasted a couple of months (fried chicken is not for the weak). But I remember that we both started the job just in time to attend the annual employee event CHICKEN WARS ‘92. I’ll never forget being at CHICKEN WARS and locking eyes with Beth and thinking, “What did we get ourselves into???”.

We wrote snail mail letters while Beth attended LaVerne College, but when she came back to the UofA, we somehow lost touch. At this point in our lives we were Facebook friends. A couple of times over the years we ran into each other at mall play areas and our kids even played together a bit while we got to catch up. I loved following Beth’s Facebook posts with pictures of her kids. Her incredible love for her family was evident in those posts. I also loved her beer date night posts!!!! I also love beer at this point in my life 😂❤️.

Jim, I can’t imagine the tremendous loss that you and your family are feeling. Just know that she was loved at every stage of her life.

I remember swinging on the swings with her at Prince elementary in the 4th grade. So sorry for your loss.
Jim, Beth was such a force of nature. Full of energy, full of spirit, and full of life. Losing her is a void that cannot be filled. I will always remember, with fondness, the many times I was able to chat with her at family picnics and holiday events. Even if for only a short time, I am blessed to say I had known her, heard her laugh, and experienced her “life of the party” personality.

My mom encouraged me to share this idea that Mitch and I had when we were talking about Beth over the past few days. My wife (and Mitch's sister) passed away five weeks ago in Colorado, and this amazing thing is happening in Tucson at our home.

Beth was always a stickler for correct usage of grammar and spelling. She would always make sarcastic comments if someone used "their" vs "they're" or whatever incorrectly.  Here she is giving me a hard time about my choice of words.

Those of you that knew her or worked with her...I'm sure you must have seen this at some point.

I found this video that Beth recorded at University of Laverne on the last day of school.  I hope Natalie and Stacey and her other friends get a chance to see it.  This was before I met her but I found it while going through old VHS tapes, I thought you might enjoy seeing it.

Jim, Teagan, and Rhys, what a beautiful tribute to such a bright spirit.  We were just getting to know you all (after a year of being stuck at home because of COVID).  Beth was so full of life.  Her beautiful smile and easy going personality made it easy to be in her company.   We are grateful for the time we were given, but are heartbroken at this sudden loss.   We are holding you all close to our hearts.  Nancy and Rob

When Teagan turned nine years old, Beth and Jim were having a party for her at some venue. I had just arrived that day. Beth looked at me and said, “Thank god you are here! You are going to make the tops for the Sorting Hats (Harry Potter) for the cupcakes.” Oh, my! She had some tools and caramels to make them. I also had a picture and some directions….. It took several “trial and errors” to get the hat to look like the sorting hat. We had to soften them in the microwave and then form them with fingers and a toothpick. There were at least two dozen of the hats for the cupcakes.
