A silly thing we did on Facebook was every time she posted a photo of one of her cute knitting/crocheting creations, I'd make some comment as if it were somehow related to Star Trek. Then she'd respond, and we would try to out-reference one another. Incredibly, and fittingly, nerdy. It felt creative and witty, and was our little thing.
And yet, we never discussed Star Trek in-person. It simply lived online and there it had to stay! Who is to say why, but that was its special, designated place within our bandwidths and joy.
She was there for me in several different ways, and yet I learned as we gathered to remember that there were so many more levels on which we could have connected and exchanged.
We might never cease to reveal new facets to such a richly, multi-layered soul. A beautiful enigma to ponder and cherish eternally. I always will remember that gift, that generosity, that was so uniquely HER.

Since the moment I met Elizabeth, I knew she was going to be a special friend to me. I cannot recall which year we met, though I want to say it was in 2012. I could tell Elizabeth was on the quiet and shy side at first but that changed as soon as we got to know each other. Not only did we hang out at Bay Area Flash Mob (BAFM) rehearsals and events, but we went to the movies, visited at each other's houses and carpooled to places.
Our mutual love of cats was a huge factor as well. Elizabeth would always ask me how my cats were doing and then I would check in on her kitties. We even went to the Internet Cat Video Festival in Oakland with other cat lovers in BAFM! It hurts me that Sir Patrick doesn't have his mommy anymore but I know Kurt is doing a great job at playing both Mom/Dad to him.
Elizabeth was a great listener and I loved her "tell it like it is" attitude. When I went through a difficult breakup, Elizabeth was a great therapist and reminded me of my worth. It kills me that she is no longer here and I cannot vent to her about things anymore. Nor can I seek advice from her.
Elizabeth, thank you for the memories. See you later...
