Liz's obituary

Liz Bratsky, 41, of Colorado Springs passed away peacefully on February 28th, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Liz grew up in Colorado Springs, a town she always found her way back to. She worked as a Special Education teacher at Midland Elementary, on the west side where she found a home and a special place to help students. In the summers she liked to "beertend" at the Toad, spreading her infectious positivity. Liz will be dearly missed and remembered by all she touched. She is survived by her mom Kristy, step dad Donald, dad Chuck, brothers Jake and Sam, and her love Josh. Liz wanted a celebration of life be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We are asking that all of Liz’s loved ones, friends, colleagues and those she touched to join us for an open house celebrating her life at the Smiling Toad Brewery on March 5th between noon and 4pm.  The brewery is located at 2028 Sheldon Ave, close to the corner of Highway 24 and 21st Street. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Midland elementary school to benefit the kids that she loved so much.
