Elizabeth Ann Simpson, 74, passed away on June 17 of 2021. Elizabeth was born on November 9 of 1946 to Marion and Dorothy Benedict in Fort Collins, Colorado. After graduataing from Fort Collins High School, she went on to study at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO. Elizabeth's hobbies included reading, drawing, painting, and learning more about the Navajo Nation's area and culture. Elizabeth was passionate about and devoted to her grandchildren, art and teaching. She followed her teaching career to Colorado, Kansas City, Pinon, and Low Mountain. She had spent 30 years of her life on the Navajo Nation and loved the area and the people. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Dorothy Benedict, Ft Collins, Co. She is survived in death by her children, Jeremey (Pamela) Simpson of Window Rock, AZ, Carrie Mckenzie of Mound, MN, and Cynthia (Paul) Simpson of Rapid City, SD, and her grandchildren, Ariel and David Simpson, Chloe McClaren- Simpson, Lucy Simpson, Audra and Aidan McKenzie. Also surviving her death are her brothers Edmund Benedict of Ft Collins, CO, David (Paula) Benedict of Ft Collins, CO and James Benedict of Ft Collins, CO. Elizabeth had many neices and nephews and friends who will miss her greatly.
