Dear Ann, Elizabeth and Liam,

Please know that you have all been in our thoughts and we offer our most deepest sympathy for the loss of Ellis. We hope you feel the support of family and friends during this most difficult time and send all our love and prayers to you all always.

Dear Anne, Elizabeth and Liam,
I knew your sweet Ellis from the group he was in with Cynthia. He sat directly across from me for years at our monthly meetings. I loved his gentleness, humor and heartfelt observations about life, purpose and God. And his smile! It was easy to see that he was utter devoted to his family. He beamed when he spoke about his children. I loved that Ellis did not hide tears when something touched him deeply. The tears I was honored to witness were not of sadness but usually of a full heart. He was so strong and brave in his pursuit of living a deeply honorable, loving and spiritual life. I will always treasure the time I shared with him. I hope you can find some comfort from these words as you cope with an incalculable loss.
Ann Elizabeth and Liam--we've yet to meet but I met Ellis in our childhood in Lewisdale and was so happy to be back in touch with him in the second decade of this century. I am so so sorry for your loss. I will never forget Ellis' visit to Manhattan where I live in February 2013. Of all the things to see and do, he wanted to walk 5 miles downtown to the financial district to see 8 Spruce Street a newly built residential tower designed by Frank Gehry. He didn't bring much of a winter coat and I always felt bad he wouldn't borrow one of mine. Despite the cold, I think he had a great time.
Ann, Elizabeth, and Liam
Our love, thoughts, and support are with you during this time. I am so glad I got to spend time with Ellis at holiday get togethers and cookouts catching up and getting his take on the latest news or sports or hearing about what current new build/remodel project he was working on. I also loved joining him in playing some golf around the area. I will miss him but will remember those good times we had. I love you all!
Dear Ann, Elizabeth, and Liam;

You have our deepest sympathy and heart felt prayers at the loss of Ellis, a devoted husband and father. Sadness fills our hearts. We were able to only share small but important memories with him. The birth of Elizabeth. Their trip to Disneyland. Elizabeth’s graduation. We enjoyed these moments and will continue to cherish them always. Patrick, Monica, Matthew, and Cristina Neild.
Dimitri and I LOVED Ellis!
His love of his family was extraordinary.

We miss you Dear Ellis!
Dear Ann, Liam, and Elizabeth, I am sorry that I haven’t reached out in a while and that it took us this long to find out but I am so terribly sorry for your loss. Ellis was a great man and a great father and I have so many great memories of spending time with him and Liam. At some points it felt as if he was a father to me given my own father’s distance. You will all be in my prayers and if any of you need anything then just ask.
Sincerely, Adam
Dear Ann, sending you my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to you and your children at this most difficult time. I can see that Ellis was loved by many, and the memories he has left you with will be your comfort. I pray for your strength and I share your sorrow. Love , Francie
Dear Ann, Liam and Elizabeth -- while I only met Ellis a few times, (Thanksgiving in NYC hosted by Jack and Joan being the most recent) what struck me most about him was how devoted he was to his children and also that he had very nice hair. Both of these are important qualities in a man, the first perhaps more than the other. But frankly, the fact that Ann chose him as her life partner was all I needed to know - - he must have been one extraordinary person and I wish I had gotten to know him better. I am grieving along with all of you for this sudden and unfair loss.
Our thoughts and prayers for you and your family…sending our sincere condolences, and keeping you all in our prayers.
Love,
Gerry and Tim
I share your profound sadness and know you always have a friend you can count on in me. xxoo Karen Kaye
May God hold you in the palm of His hand and bring you comfort during this difficult time.
