Elisabeth's obituary
Elisabeth Champagne went home to be with her lord and savior, on April 27, 2026 at age 36.
Elisabeth was born to Johnny and Katherine Champagne on June 14th, 1989 in Carrollton Texas. As a child, Elisabeth participated and excelled in various artistic endeavors, and received recognition academically and artistically. Elisabeth was preceded in death, by her grandparents, Myranell and Frank Husung, Gerald Champagne Sr. and many beloved friends and family members. She is survived by her Grandmother, Jodeane McCarty, Father, Johnny Champagne, Mother, Katherine Harvell, Step Father, Rodney Harvell, Sister, Mariel Lingner, Brother in Law, Colton Lingner, Brother, Rhett Champagne, her children, Joseph Colvin, and Judith Sample, her Niece Magdelyn Cernovich and Nephew, Johnny Lingner.
Elisabeth was known for her vibrant spirit and unmistakable sense of humor. She was deeply creative and exceptionally talented, expressing herself through painting, writing, and dance.
Her love for children was evident to everyone who knew her. She worked as a preschool teacher and nanny, where she was adored by her students and the families she supported. She had a natural gift for making children feel safe, seen, and loved.
In 2017, she welcomed her first son, Joseph, into the world, and in 2020, she was blessed with her daughter Judith. Her children were the greatest loves of her life, and she cherished every moment she spent with them.
Elisabeth will be remembered for her creativity, her laughter, and the deep love she had for her family and those around her.
A service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at Houston Northwest Church on May 8th at 2:00 PM.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
