Eliot's obituary

Eliot Wright, 28, of Prairie Farm, WI, passed away unexpectedly on October 30, 2022.

Eliot was born on April 13, 1994, in Menomonie, Wisconsin, to Greg and Martha Wright. He grew up in the Prairie Farm area. After being homeschooled and graduating in 2012, he went on to become an ironworker for the Local 512, during which time he worked on many buildings and bridges in the area, including the Stillwater bridge. His real love was farming however, and whenever possible, he worked for area farmers, Jones Creek Dairy, Julian Nelson, and Prestrud Dairy, all in the Prairie Farm area.

He married Kacie Schlough in 2015, and they had three girls, Autumn, Amythist, and Adrianna.

Eliot enjoyed reading, bicycling, and long-boarding. His longest bicycle trip was from home to Eau Claire and back to Menomonie, a total of nearly 180 miles in one day. His reading interests were varied, but more recent favorites included the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child, and anything written by Louis L’Amour.

He was interested in old-fashioned tools and methods of working. He acquired a treadle sewing machine and learned to use it. He liked antiques and enjoyed shopping at antique stores for items that he could use in everyday life. He bought the largest chainsaw made by Stihl because he enjoyed cutting firewood.

Eliot was very kind, and helpful. He was always available to help when people needed mechanical work done on a vehicle, or odd jobs around their home. He loved his "girls", as he called his wife and daughters. One of his favorite things to do was to make breakfast for his family. He was a calm, patient teacher, and in the words of his daughter Autumn, “He was the best Deddy ever.”

Eliot was predeceased by his grandfathers, Marvin Anderson, and Tom Wright, and his beloved Uncle Curt. He is survived by his wife Kacie and 3 daughters, Autumn, Amythist, and Adrianna, his parents, Greg Wright, and Martha Wright, siblings Hilary Wright, Adrian (Kim) Wright, and Isaiah Wright, nephew Axel, and his grandmothers Sandra Olson and Fern Anderson, aunt JoEllyn Anderson, and uncle Timothy Anderson.
