Elias Roman Figueroa, a devoted husband, father, friend, and man of faith passed away on April 12, 2023. Born on February 12, 1967, in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, Elias’ adventurous spirit, coupled with his unwavering loyalty to his loved ones, made him a beacon of light in the lives of those who knew him.

In his professional life, Elias served his community as a police officer. In his free time, he loved running, kayaking, biking, music, and working with his hands. A precise planner, he enjoyed plotting out camping excursions and family vacations to the smallest of details.

He is survived by his loving wife, Amarilis Roman Velez, his mother, Noemi Figueroa, and his step-mother, Rosalinda Roman. Elias was predeceased by his father, Elias Roman. He will be deeply missed by his children, Jeneczka Sailee Roman and Yamil Elias Roman, as well as his son-in-law, Richard Rapp, and future daughter-in-law, Christine Gagnon. Elias' memory will also be cherished by his siblings, Nordia Roman, Myrna Roman, Norma Roman, Hector Roman, and Jerry Roman.

Calling hours for Elias will be held on April 19, 2023, at 9:30 AM at Living Rock Church-Killingworth. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM, also at Living Rock Church-Killingworth.
