On August 24th, our BELOVED Elga “Mami” Rodriguez Navarro passed away surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her husband, Carlos, son, Felipe, daughters, Margarita "Magui" and Elga “Piqui” and her eight grandchildren: Ivette, Carlitos, Carlos Alberto, Juan Carlos, Ricardo, Belen, Felipito and Claudia. This has been a very tough time for her family, friends and everyone who knew and cherished her. Elga was a beautiful woman, a kind soul, with a deep love that touched many expanding far beyond her immediate family and friends. She genuinely cared about everyone from the receptionist and nurses at her clinic to the handyman in the building. No one ever left empty-handed from her presence, without food (or cafecito), gifts or kind words.
Elga was a Cuban exile “marielita” she made the difficult journey from Communist Cuba to Florida on a boat with her husband and two teen daughters. She endured the journey and gave her family an opportunity to experience the American dream. Finally, Elga can rest from her long journey, be with God and meet her eldest son Carlitos once again. Elga will live on in the hearts and minds of her family, friends and everyone that’s been lucky enough to encounter her along the way.
This fundraiser has been established for anyone who would like to donate during this challenging time. All proceeds will go to Elga’s widower: Carlos Rodriguez, so he can focus on healing and getting through this together with his family and friends.

El 24 de agosto falleció nuestra QUERIDA Elga "Mami" Rodríguez rodeada de sus seres queridos. Le sobreviven su esposo Carlos, su hijo Felipe, sus hijas Margarita "Magui" y Elga "Piqui" y sus ocho nietos: Ivette, Carlitos, Carlos Alberto, Juan Carlos, Ricardo, Belén, Felipito y Claudia.
