It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Elenor “Ellie” Johnson, who left us on August 24th, 2023, leaving a void in the hearts of all who knew her. Elenor was born on October 6, 1952, and through her 70 years of life, demonstrated the tender qualities of kindness and love, yet she was firm in her principles and beliefs.

Elenor was a woman of immense strength and resilience, her life was characterized by the profound lessons she imparted on those around her, the most valuable of which was forgiveness. Her belief in the healing power of forgiving, not only for those being forgiven but more so for those that forgive, was a testament to her compassionate nature.

One of her crowning achievements and a testament to her sacrificial love was taking in and raising her sister's five children after her sister's untimely death. This heroic act showed Elenor's unwavering commitment to family and her deep sense of duty and responsibility.

Her legacy is one of love and humor. She showered her family with unconditional love and filled their lives with laughter, forever embedding these sentiments into their hearts. Elenor's legacy is her reminder that through love and humor, one can find joy in the simplest of moments.

A lover of nature, Elenor found immense joy in gardening. Her garden was her sanctuary, a place where she nurtured life just as she did with those she loved. She also had a fondness for soul food and desserts. Many were the delightful hours spent in her kitchen, crafting wholesome meals that not only satiated the stomach but also warmed the heart.

Through her life, Elenor touched many hearts. She will be deeply missed but her love, her teachings, and her memory will live on in those she left behind.  Her surviving loved ones ask for your understanding and for privacy at this time.
