Eleanor Anna Colomba Mongonia, 93, passed away on November 13, 2019 in East Meadow, New York. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 12, 1926. She was an only daughter with six brothers, five older and one younger. During World War II, when five of her brothers were drafted, she sacrificed her opportunity for an education in order to help her father at the family-owned grocery store.
