Eleanor's obituary

Eleanor Jackson Campbell, of Woodland, CA, age 90, died on Friday, December 23 at home. She was born on June 11, 1932, in Toquerville, UT, the daughter of Harvey and Irma Jackson. She was the fifth daughter of six girls. She married Charles Leroy

Campbell in the LDS Manti, UT Temple on July 27, 1951.

Eleanor, “Ellie,” attended LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, UT. She spent many years working as a secretary for various companies. Her longest and last position was as Executive Secretary for Food Service at the University of California Davis. As a member of the LDS Church, she shared her musical talents by playing both the organ and piano starting at age 14. While serving in the church she played for regular church services, choirs and various solo opportunities.

Surviving family members include: Her two daughters: Jean and Laurie [Phil]; eight grandchildren: Brian [Lacy], Amanda [Mike], Matthew [Connie], Sarah, Stephen [Jill], Renee [Josh], Megan, and Emily [Matthew]; and 25 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles; son, Douglas; and grandson, James.

Funeral services will be held at the LDS Cottonwood Building at 1405 Cottonwood St., Woodland, CA on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held at the same location from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM. Internment will be on Friday, January 13, 2023 at the Sac Valley VA Cemetery in Dixon, CA.
