Pastor Johnson was a truly remarkable man of God. He was kind, gentle and always made time for people. He was also a man of the Word and resolute in his faith. I recall him spending time with my family often.

As a young woman I recall a time when I was out of employment. Pastor Johnson invited me for prayer and having prayed over my life, it was not long thereafter that the answer to his prayer was manifested in the physical.

Whilst he is no longer with us, he will not be forgotten.

Bishop Johnson. What a wonderful man! So kind, encouraging and non judgemental. We (Bridget, Desmond, Nadia and Reuben) are sad that you are gone and we will miss you. Sending our condolences to your family
I was so saddened by the passing of my pastor Eldemire Johnson. His passing has brought back so many memories. When myself, my mother and sisters started Woolwich Church he took us under his wings. He taught us about God and led myself and my sisters to Christ. Both he and Sister Johnson encouraged and supported us. Like so many have said he was like a father to us.  He was a true man of God. He literally walked in Christ's steps. I will always be grateful for all his support and love. I'm so glad that I knew him.  Pastor Johnson was exceptional: loving, kind, generous, patient, gentle.  It is because of him regardkess of my struggles I still have my faith in Christ.  I'm sorry that I did not see much of him once he moved to Croydon but will always remember and cherish the time we had with him at Woolwich Church. There will never be another like him. Rest in peace Pastor Johnson.
Our deep condolences to Pastor Johnsons family. We are grateful  for the love for the  Lord and the strong faith that you never ceased to share. With love and gratitude  for your service, from Sis Henrietta, Georgiana, Theodora, Sybil, Daniel.
Clive, Joan, Tamara, Olivia-Savannah, April and Simone offer our sincere condolences to the family of Pastor Johnson. We owe a lot to Pastor Johnson. It was through Pastor Johnson witnessing to Clive‘s sister Jackie, that led to her, Clive and the whole family including mum and dad coming to know the saving power of Jesus. Clive accepted Jesus into his life and Pastor Johnson was his spiritual mentor in 1983. Pastor was there at our wedding and the christening of our children. There will be many many stars on his crown.

I have wonderful memories of dear Bishop Johnson. I remember popping in to visit him after school with my mother Sis Forbes. They spoke about the Lord, and I distinctly remember Bishop offering to repair my school shoes. He was so loving and kind.

Bishop Johnson along with the late Bishop Strachan baptised me at Lee NTCG, and I was so happy that they were in the pool that evening. Bishop Johnson was a steadfast, godly, upright, caring and committed soldier of the cross. He fought a good fight, he finished his course, he kept the faith!

The Forbes family sends love and condolences to the entire Johnson family. We are praying for you, praying that the God of all comfort will see you through this season, and give you His peace.

Such Amazing Man of God a true General of the Lord, so thankful to have had him as Spiritual Father and Teacher at my first cell group,  he had such a gentle spirit and taught with excellence always, We miss him so much, but he sings from Glory now with the other Saint ,  Rest on Bishop Johnson in the loving arms of Jesus

As far as I can remember,  Bishop Eldermire Johsom has always been I'm my life.  I've known him as a Pastor on the District of NTCG, Woolwich Branch & affectionately known as "The Weeping Prophet" which as I grew up in Pentecostal Church was that His

Passion and love for God was deep connecting that he would often cry when preaching or praying over the Church.

Bishop Johnson was a wise, gentle & gifted soul, who would always make time for everyone, great or small.

Bishop Johnson was a humble Minister, a Foundation Pillar of NTCG & will NEVER be forgotten, especially for Hid humbleness, winning smile & dedication to God he served & his Church.

Another Soldier, Veteran & General gone on to rest on the Loving Arms of God & Live ALL eternity with our Saviour Jesus Christ our Lord 4evr

To the Johnson family our deepest condolences. Your dad was a hardworking and committed man of God, who worked tirelessly for the Kingdom. Now he is resting in the arms of the Lord. May the memories of his life and legacy bring comfort and peace to you all at this time.

We were so sad when we heard of the passing our dear Rev Eldermire Johnson.

He was such an amazing, calm, polite, beautiful  spirited man.  Truly a man of God truley who practice what he preached, and loved people. He treated all whom he came in contact with, with love and respect. You don't find many men of this quality and hifh standards anymore.

Rev Johnson never looked  like he was aging and even walked with swagg into church on a Sunday.

He would always enquire  about my husband and boys and would end the conversation  with an encourage .

May God give you all as a family comfort  and strength as you go through this time of grieving.

Nuff live

I didn’t know your dad personally, but the fact that I do know you Pat and his grandchildren is a tribute in itself.

My heartfelt condolences goes out to Bishop Johnson's family.

He was a true man of God who always found time to say a few kind words, give encouragement backed up by a scripture verse.

His warm smile and gentle attitude made it easy to be drawn to  him.

Bishop Johnson is gone but his memories will forever linger on. RIP in the arms of your Redeemer Sir.

Family may the good Lord strengthen and comfort your hearts.

Be assured that he has fought a good fight and completed his race.  He is only gone ahead where his reward will be waiting for him. Blessings 🙌.

My heart felt condolences to the Johnson family. You are in my heart, my thoughts and prayers.

Much love

We send our condolences to the family of the late Bishop Eldemire Johnson. I happily write this tribute to him from my mother and siblings in celebration and honour of our memory of his labour with our dad, Bishop S U Thompson, particularly during the late 60s. He will be remembered as one of the pioneers of the NTCG in SE London.

We remember him as a faithful 'man of God', committed to the Faith. For some of us, he was affectionately described as 'the weeping prophet'! Bishop Johnson leaves the NTCG,UK a rich heritage. May we seek to build on the legacy he has left us and in turn enrich our brand of the Pentecostal heritage for future generations.

Rev Phyllis Thompson

My deepest condolences goes out to the Johnson family.  I only had the pleasure of knowing Mr Johnson for a few weeks in them few weeks Mr Johnson had a big impact on my self and ill never forget him he was a warm hearted man and his energy was of the Lord.  God has definitely gained someone very special in to his kingdom 🙏.

To Bro Norman and all the family,.

I pray  that you  will find  strength, comfort in the Lord, and in all the prayers, good memories and the excellent legacy Rev Johnson has left behind. I will always remember his smile, encouraging words and calm demeanour.

To the Johnson family, we pray that the outpouring of love for Pastor Johnson will help to encourage, comfort and strengthen you.  Looking back, I remember Pastor J's greeting of "Sister dear" as he looked intently into your eyes wanting to know "how are you" all the while holding your hand which he wouldn't let go until the conversation had finished.  He will be sorely missed but we can all take comfort knowing that he is now resting in the arms of his Saviour.

Our prayers are with the family.

Lots of love from Bev and Dennis

One of God’s generals who was given a Seed and His servant planted well. Your legacy remains and today we are partaking of your hard labour of service.

Thank you Bishop Johnson, your reward is with you in the Hands of your Lord.

Bishop Eldermire Johnson was such a warm, vibrant caring Pastor who my family and I met in 1972.  He was a true shepherd of the flock at then Plumstead NTCG, he witnessed to me and our family all of us accepted the Lord into our life’s He would check on how you were getting on spiritually. Were you praying and reading your Bible dutifully, his love and discipline kept us as young people together and we developed strong Christian principles.

Our warm, kind condolences go out to Sis Johnson, Pat, Kay, Norman, Annmarie and the entire immediate and extended families

Pastor Eldemire Johnson, will be remembered fondly and missed greatly.

In 2005, when my family and I started attending Lee NTCG and became members, very soon we discovered that we had inherited a loving Father in Christ.

He was so devoted to the Kingdom of God and the Body of Christ, he was kind, wise, warm-spirited and pleasant all the time. He was available on every occasion to answer my questions, give spiritual counsel, and encouragement, as well as, pray for me. He played a very important part in my family's spiritual growth.

Fun memories also are when we had him over for Sunday dinners with the family.

We have a family joke about my winter boots that were meant to have their sole repaired, instead, it was transformed by Pastor Johnson into an everlasting pair of boots, which I am sure will last beyond my old age. 😂

It is my belief, that Pastor Johnson was the world's best shoemaker.

I will miss his witty personality, his smile and his playfulness. I loved Pastor Johnson and he will forever live on in my heart ❤️

Sleep on great solider, you have run an excellent race,

I am so glad and blessed to have had the opportunity of knowing Pastor Johnson and having him impact my life and my family’s life.

Brigette, Paul and Family

Love always ❤️
