30 years later and I can still remember being at VBS and having her sit with me to help work on whatever art project we were doing. She was always so supportive and kind. One of the most positive people I can remember and I always look back on my memories of her with a smile.
Aunt Eileen has always had a special place in my heart. Everytime we went to visit, she was always smiling and a true representation of God's heart. I would love to have seen the reunion with Grandma, Grandpa and her brothers.
Such a beautiful picture of your Mom! I’m glad that she was able to move to Florida so you were able to continue to have her near you and the family! Jim and I enjoyed being able to share many meals and memories with her. She will always be alive and well in your heart!
After mom entered hospice, she didn't wake for any of the staff. No matter what they tried, she never responded. But when I arrived, she immediately opened her eyes and told me she loved me. No matter what state she was in, she would always respond when she heard my voice. Her deep love for me will stay with me forever. I had the honor of singing her off to sleep one last time as I sang her favorite song, "In Christ Alone." While it was devastating to tell her goodbye, I'll always cherish my last moments with her, knowing that I was able to give her one last memory of peace on her journey home. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
