My condolences are offered to Eileen's family.  She was a wonderful human and is a kind and loving spirit.  She was a friend, always ready with a smile and a kind word.  The world needs more loving, sweet people like her and is even more impovershed now that she's moved on. I'll miss you Eileen. Rest in Peace and Love.
Devasted today, the day I found out that I have lost my best friend. Eileen and I met in our late teens in our home state of Michigan. and have been friends for life. Our bond surpassed miles and time but no matter what, when we visited or talked it was like no time had passed and we picked up where we left off. Eileen was loyal and true. Grounded and wise. Fun and witty. Generous and hospitable. Loving and kind. Forever and always my best friend in life and my birthday twin, I love you like no other my dearest friend.

Eulogy by Nikki Arvallo, step-daughter

I first met Eileen as an adult.  I had just graduated high school and she and my dad flew me out to meet my sister and the rest of my family.  I can honestly say I have a relationship with  my sister today because of Eileen.

Eileen was a connector, the flue that held everyone together.  She made you feel seen, heard, and loved.  Eileen was so full of life, wisdom and a sense of adventure.  I always tried to talk her into moving to Prescott so I could help her with dad, get to know her more, and for my daughter.  I was so excited about the idea of my daughter having a Nana who was actively involved in her life.  A nana that lived close and could take her to tea, get her hair done, go painting, or to watch a movie.

I grieve what could have been.  I grieve not getting to know Eileen more personally.  Never having asked her to show me pictures and share the stories.  I will miss her laugh.  I will miss her great advice.  I will miss her cooking and her stylish & thoughtful gifts.

I was honored to care for Eileen during her last days before going to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To be able to bring her home to the love of her life was a gift for me.  I read the Bible a lot, prayed a lot and sang a lot.  One of the verses I keep going back to was Isaiah 41:10

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.  Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you.  I will hold you up with my righteous right hand” -Isaiah 41:10

Eileen knew what it meant to be held in God’s righteous right hand.  She landed on Christ to sustain her, comfort her, and guide her.  And I find comfort in knowing she is with Christ now.  And like my daughter, Elena said, “We will see Nana Eileen again in heaven.”

Thank you.

Thank you so much Nikki and Roni for the wonderful Memorial Service you both created for Eileen.  You two are the gifts that God gave Eileen and you both brought great fulfillment, joy and happiness into her life!!   You, your husbands and your children were her blessings!!

Bless you all!!

My name is Margot (Mara) Moran. I have lived in Melbourne Australia for close to 50 years. I have not seen Eileen since our last visit to the States in 2016 when we spent 2 days with Eileen and Bill in Santa Monica. Despite the distance Eileen always kept in contact at Christmas and birthdays. Unfortunately age and health means that I can no longer travel long distances. I will miss you Leni, you were always the best of us.

Sending my deepest condolences to her family. Eileen and I worked together at the Renaissance in Indian Wells and again at the Westin in Rancho Mirage. She was a dear coworker and someone I am proud to call a friend.

I was married to Eileen's father for over 30 years.  Although we always lived in Michigan and Eileen in CA we always were able to get together with Eileen and Bill twice a year.  We would come, usually, at Christmas and they would come to MI in the summer.  We always looked forward to these visits and I have such wonderful memories of our times together.  Eileen was always cheerful, happy and had a wonderful laugh that would light up a room.   I have been deeply saddened by the terrible tragedy of Eileen's sudden untimely passing.  I will always cherish the time I had to spend with Eileen.   I know that she is with the father who passed on 2017 and her grandparents that she deeply loved and is in the arms of our loving Lord which does help comfort me.
