Ms. Eileen hired both my wife Joyce and myself. I was a transfer from another store and Joyce was hired in as a new hire. Eileen and Joyce hit it off very well from the beginning. She really took a liking to Joyce and she reminded me of that quite often. We really loved her sense of humor. She would jokingly say, "I like Joyce alot more than I like you." When I asked to speak with her about something, she would say jokingly, "Are you in trouble again?" Joyce and I love cruising and when I request the time off, Eileen would always say in her own sarcastic way, "Where are you going this time?" One day Joyce was telling her about our cruising and she told Joyce that she really wanted to cruise with here sister someday.
Eileen was an excellent boss. She had a very tough job, but she was still fair, caring, and compassionate. I would say, without hesitation that she was the best person for that job. She would always sit down with me and listen to whatever it was that was troubling me.
We knew that she was not a very healthy person and we were troubled by the demands placed upon her. Some days we knew that she should have stayed home, yet she was always on the job, working under enormous challenges and pressure.
We will both miss you, dear friend Eileen. We know that another person will take over the front end Coach position, but you will never be replaced. Thank you for being the great person and friend that you were.

My daughter was a new comer to Walmart and was a little timid in talking to the other associates. Well, her idea of avoiding people was to go sit outside by herself, upon my disagreement. This particular night, she sat out there for a few minutes, and then low and behold, she hurried back inside and went straight to Ms. Eileen and told her there was a creepy man outside. She stood there, with the assurance that Ms. Eileen was truly her protector. I laughed when Ms. Eileen told me because, one, she didn't listen when I told her not to go out there by herself and two, she had to finally reach out to someone other than me. The passing of Ms. Eileen has caused a shift in our spirits, but we know God didn't want her to feel pain any longer. Rest in Peace Ms. Eileen, you will truly be missed.

I met her when I came back to Walmart. When we had a misunderstanding and we talk it over she was one of the sweetest lady, I knew. Anything I asked of her and if it was in her power to do she done it. When I was told what happened the tears was real and my heart ache . So family you all have my deepest condolences. She was a beautiful person 💔😭💔😭

Leslie and family, you know you’re all in our thoughts and prayers. I have no words of my own, but I’ll borrow this from Henri Nouwen:
“…Death is part of a much greater and much deeper event, the fullness of which we cannot comprehend, but of which we know that it is a life-bringing event. The friends of Jesus saw him and heard him only a few times after that Easter morning, but their lives were completely changed. What seemed to be the end proved to be the beginning; what seemed to be a cause for fear proved to be a cause for courage; what seemed to be defeat proved to be victory; and what seemed to be the basis for despair proved to be the basis for hope. Suddenly a wall becomes a gate, and although we are not able to say with much clarity or precision what lies beyond the gate, the tone of all that we do and say on our way to the gate changes drastically.
The best way I can express to you the meaning death receives in light of the resurrection of Jesus is to say that the love that causes us so much grief and makes us feel so fully the absurdity of death is stronger than death itself. ‘Love is stronger than death.’ This sentence summarizes better than any other the meaning of the resurrection and therefore also the meaning of death.”
