I am truly saddened learning this shocking news. My deepest condolences and sympathy to Vivian and their two little precious daughters. Ed was taken way too soon. I first met Ed in our USC MBA program in August 2005. Since my name sounded like a Burmese name, he came over to talk to me and asked whether I was from Burma. Since then we became good friends and we had many chats over drinks, had dinner in Orange County and in Los Angeles, ski trips, and so many good memories. During our MBA program and after graduation, Ed used to send me emails of job openings. He was always looking out for his friends. Ed is a soft-spoken consummate gentleman and a trusted friend, had a big heart, always with a big smile. I will remember his warm friendship and his big smile.
In June 2011, when he learned that I was coming to the east coast to study at Harvard University, he made time to see me. We sat at a restaurant in Los Angeles and discussed about fun things in our lives over a lunch. That is the last time I saw Ed in person. I completed my study and looking forward to going to SoCal and catch up with Ed and USC friends. Now, I am stunned and lost for words. I will say a prayer for my good friend. Ed, I will miss you brother, your family and friends will miss you 🙏🙏🙏

It was such a pleasure spending the time I was able to with Ed. We were co-workers, and he had such an impressive breadth of knowledge and an intellectual curiosity that raised the bar and motivated our whole team. Rest in peace.
Ed was an amazing human being. His energy was contagious, and his personality was magnetic. Ed genuinely cared about how you were. There are two types of people in this world: those who cast shadows, and those who stand in the shadows of others. Ed was the former, and cast the shadow of a mountain. I meet a great many people in my line of work but I truly connect with only a few. Ed was one of those connections. We would go shooting together at the range and talk about work, family and life. He was always positive, but the way his eyes and face lit up when he would talk about Vivian, Brooksley and Annabelle, was epic. We often spoke of our families and how important they were to us, how they defined us, and made us whole. I don't have many friends that I share that with. Now I have one less and it breaks my heart. I could always depend on Ed for a laugh. We often joked about that fact that if there was some sort of cataclysmic event, how we would have each other's back. I feel he had connections like that with so many people, and I envy him for that. Our world is less joyful, less fun, less beautiful and more lonely without Ed in it. Ed was my friend as I am sure he was yours. I miss my friend. My prayers are with you Vivian, Brooksley, and Annabelle. Please let me know if you ever need anything.
I remember how fondly Ed shared stories about his daughters, and proudly showed us photos of them. He was always ready to offer financial advice, life advice, and share a laugh. I pray you feel loved and surrounded by your community during this heartbreaking time.
My deepest sympathy to your family. I’m so sorry for your loss. ❤️
Ed had the most infectious smile. He was an absolute joy to work with and he will be sorely missed. I’m so sorry for your loss. ❤️
I'm so sorry for your loss. Ed was such an amazing person, so full of life and joy. He will live in all of our memories. Love.
So sorry to the entire family for your loss. I will miss Ed greatly, with his generous heart and beaming smile. Let me know if you need help with anything. Love.
Condolence to Vivian and the family. Wish Ed to be a peaceful place.
