It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Edward Short on January 1, 2026. Born on September 24, 1961, Edward lived a life of dignity and quiet strength. His calm, quiet, yet fierce personality left an indelible mark on those blessed to know him.

Edward is survived by his loving daughters, Kendra Sturtevant and Jessica Short, who will forever cherish his memory. His sister, Nancy Short, and brother, Craig Burger, grieve the loss of a sibling who was not just family, but a dear friend. His legacy continues through his grandsons, Michael Jones and Micah Espinosa, and his granddaughters and great granddaughters, Aaliyah Jones, Alisha Short-Wathen, Oaklynn, Emersyn and Sekani Reams, who will miss their grandfather's gentle guidance.

Edward was predeceased by his mother, Twyla Holzhauer, his father, Clyde Short, his brother, Kenneth Burger, and his fiancee, Debra Beachboard. His life, though marked by these losses, was also a testament to strength and perseverance.

One of Edward's most impactful lessons was "No matter the situation, keep your head up," reflecting his resilient mentality. This mantra stayed with him throughout his life’s journey and remains a guiding principle to his loved ones.
