Eddie “SparkPlug” Rigdon, affectionately known by many as Eddie, passed away suddenly in one day in the month of May 2025. Born on October 20, 1952, Eddie embarked on an extraordinary adventure of a life that spanned over seven decades. He loved to trail ride, ride  4 wheelers, work, spend time with his friends and family, he loved riding around with his grand kids in his Goftcart looking for yard sales that didn’t exist in then neighborhood next door!

Eddie, a man who left profound footprints in the sands of time was an exemplary individual who preferred solitude, prompting many to describe his personality as that of a "Loner". However, it was evident to those who truly knew him that his solitude was a sanctuary where he nurtured his inner strength and wisdom. Eddie was humbly captivating in his unique way, living a life that even in silence, resounded loudly with actions that were louder than words.

One of Eddie’s greatest accomplishments was being a deserving parent to two exceptional children. His legacy is cherished by his surviving daughter, Christine Roberson, and son, Edward Dewayne Rigdon and his grandchildren . He lovingly influenced their lives, shaping their wisdom, resilience, and value systems that are a true testament to Eddie’s parenting finesse. His children are his legacy, flourishing in their respective fields, they are the embodiment of Eddie’s perseverance, strength, and dedication.

He worked at international paper and Walmart throughout his life.

As a man of great valour and immense love, Eddie will be deeply missed. His memories will linger on, treasured within the hearts and minds of those who had the privilege of knowing him. A candle may burn out, but the light it lit will continue to glow forever. The same could be said about Eddie, who, though not among us, will forever reflect in the lives he touched and made better.

Eddie’s transition from the world has left an indelible void, but his life and memories serve as a beacon of strength and inspiration, guiding us through our own life's journey. A celebration of Eddie’s life will be announced at a later date.
