Pete (Ed)'s obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edward Pete (Ed) Peterson, better known as Pete (Ed), on October 4, 2023. Pete was born on February 22, 1972, and throughout his journey on this earth, he was known for his adventurous spirit, a profound sense of humor, and his immense love and care for those around him. An emblem of bravery, honesty, and dependability, he was a man who lived by the principle of pursuing happiness and embracing opportunities while spending as much time in nature as humanly possible. Indeed, Pete was the sort to inspire others to take chances and not let anything hold them back.

Some of Pete's greatest accomplishments included being a father and a Marine; he was often referred to as an angel for having saved several lives. His legacy lies within the size of his big heart, reflected in every act of kindness and the love he bestowed upon his family and friends.

Despite the many roles he embraced, Pete was first and foremost a dedicated and loving father, with his daughter Julz forming the center of his world. He will be remembered for his immense heart and his undying love for his daughter will continue to be felt in her life, serving as a testament to his everlasting presence and impact.

Pete is survived by a large, loving family: Kimberly Peterson; his daughter, Juliette Peterson; step son, Quinten Bankston, his mother, Janie O'Connell; his step-father, Joe O'Connell; his step-mother, Kathy Peterson; his cousins, Alisha Mallewick, Amy Watson, Matt Watson, and Adam Gallagos; his aunts, Paula Lev, Anne Watson, Patty and Carla; and his uncles, Glen Watson and Tim Peterson and Bob Lev. And his beloved dog "Big". Each of these individuals carry within them a piece of Pete's enduring spirit, his love, and his unforgettable personality.

He was predeceased by his father, Edward (Skip) Peterson II; his sister, Juliette (Pooky) Peterson; his grandmother, Lucille Watson; his grandfather, Ernest Watson; his aunt, Ada Gallegos; and his cousin, Ely Gallegos. Their memories filled Pete's heart and motivated him to lead a life marked by courage, love, and humor. Now, he joins them to reside in our hearts as cherished memories.

May the memory of Pete "Ed" Peterson always be a blessing – a symbol of love, joy, bravery, and the sheer force of life. His life wasn't merely about existing but living in the truest sense, and his journey has left a significant impact on all those fortunate to have known him.
