My name is Shirley Shoaf, I was looking on my I pad and came across something about San Francisco. I thought of two kids my husband and I knew back in 1957. I put in Ed’s name and found his obituary. As I read it, it sounded like my husbands. He was in the Army with your father and they were together at Fort Story, went to Greenland, and drove those Ducks at Virginia Beach. Geri and I spent many of our days together in our small apartments and waited for them to come home. They drove back to California and stopped in Indiana for a brief visit when he was discharged. We are so sorry to learn they are both deceased. Accept our deepest sympathy and know we had a great time with your parents many years ago.
1976, Miz Browns, Laurel Village, California Street, San Francisco
Ed was my friend since 1976. We enjoyed each other's company and for the longest time we would meet maybe once a month to visit Yet Yah in Diamond Heights. We had a martini, wine and ate potstickers and bbq pork ..... sometimes 12 potstickers each ... as we got older we ate less and were sorry to see it close . We solved the problems of the world and discussed our lives and loves and always the "children". Sometimes we went to Westlake Joe's, before they remodeled. He was my buddy and my brother and we loved each other always. He will be missed but will always be in my heart. RIP Chester !!!.
