Edward Austin O’Laughlin, 85, passed away peacefully at home on July 5, 2024.
Son of Mary Margaret O’Laughlin (Doyle), and Austin Cornelius O’Laughlin, he was born January 11, 1939 in Washington D.C. He and his family moved to the Philadelphia area for a factory job, which is where he grew up. This is where his love of soft-pretzels started!
He graduated from Temple University and worked as a statistician for the government. He retired early, …

Our family will be holding a small, private memorial service where will we lay him to rest by his beloved mother, Mary Margaret, at St. James Cemetery in Falls Church. We appreciate everyone’s love and support and encourage those who knew him to share any memories, pictures, or messages to celebrate his life.
