Ed's obituary
Ed was an avid boater. He treasured time spent with family and friends aboard the I.B. Dozin on Sebago Lake, Maine. He was a Maine state doubles racquetball champion, a marathon runner and a coach in the Brunswick Pee Wee Football program for many years. He remained forever faithful to his Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes and New England Patriots. Ed was blessed with a kind and charming personality and made new friends everyday of his journey through life.
Ed is survived by his wife and best friend of 37 years, Dorothy (Walsh). His children; Gina Zielinski (Robert), Edward Jr., John and step son Michael Hughes. His grandchildren; Joshua (Aulbre), McKala Gonzalez (Christopher), Mason Zielinski (Kristina), Morgan Zielinski and Brandon. His great grandchildren; Oliver and Anna Zielinski. Siblings; Howard (Diane), Daniel, Diane Keeney and Jacqueline. Special nephew; Matthew McCusker. Many nieces and nephews and countless friends. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Mary (Vastag) Mason and his brother Thomas.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Donations may be made in Ed’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Make a Wish Foundation.
