Edward's obituary

EDWARD MARSHALL

Mr. Edward Delano Marshall of Crystal Springs, Mississippi, peacefully left this world behind on November 27, 2021 at the age of 83.
Edward was born on January 9, 1938 in Valdosta, Georgia to Robert and Bernice Marshall. While serving in Germany for the US Air Force, he met Heidi, a cute little redhead, and married her 3 months later—a marriage that would last 55 years until her passing in 2014.

Edward and Heidi settled in Round Lake, Illinois where Edward made his living as a welder. He also volunteered at the local fire department as a fireman and paramedic for several years. Edward became licensed as an electrician and worked many hours outside of his full-time job to provide for his family of 6. Edward and Heidi left Illinois in 2004 and retired to the state of Mississippi. Edward was a smart, patient and kind man who knew a little bit about just about everything. He loved to fish and was a veracious reader, but will be most remembered for being a devoted husband, loving father and fun grandfather.

Edward was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Heidi, and son, Kerry along with his siblings JC, Lois, Sarah, Robert, Mary and Florence. He is survived by his 3 children, Danny Marshall, Terrie (Bryan) Dukus, and Donnie (Matt) Gorsuch, his 10 grandchildren, Justin Voldan, Stephanie (Steven) McKinney, Jake (Amanda) Gorsuch, Katie (Mike) Lucas, Sam Gorsuch, Caleb Gorsuch, Taylor (Chance) Day, Noah Gorsuch, Quin (Sabiella) Gorsuch and Chloe Gorsuch, his 4 great grandsons, Oliver McKinney, Elijah Lucas, Finn Gorsuch and Wesley Gorsuch, and 2 siblings Jean (Joe) McCreary and James Marshall.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. ~ 2 Cor 1:3-4
