Edward John Lane passed away on November 25, 2025. He was born on March 2, 1946, in New York City where he was raised and met the love of his life, Roberta Assael. They married on November 25, 1964, and together they shared 61 years of devotion, partnership, and family.

Edward is survived by his wife, Roberta Lane; his son, Edward John Lane Jr., and wife Cheri; and his daughter, Stepheny Luette, and husband Ken. He is also survived by his brother George and he is predeceased by his sister Arlene.

He had many nieces and nephews and was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren who brought him endless smiles: Emily Kacerosky (Sean), Rebecca Lane (Chase Kubasiak), Daniel Luette, Robert Luette, and Kaitlyn Luette. His family also extended to his two great-grandchildren, Evie Kubasiak and Finn Kacerosky.

Ed liked to have fun and spend time with family and friends. He had a long career in the fashion industry and his life was defined by both his social charm and his passion for clothing and accessories. Seems like everyone who knew him received a wallet, belt, tie, jacket or coat at least once.
