Edward Joseph Janas, 85, of Norwalk Ohio, and formally Penfield Ohio for 44 years, peacefully passed away in his home on March 5, 2023, surrounded by his wife and children.

Ed was born on October 18, 1937 to parents Chester and Mary Janas in Berea, Ohio. Beloved husband of 59 years to wife Anne Janas (nee Bernhardt) and dear father to Kathleen Janas (Judy), Michelle Morris (Robert) and Jeanette Pillow (Mason). Dearest grandfather to Alexis and Allyson Hazlett and Nicole and Megan Holtfreter. He is also survived by his brother, Bernard Janas (Joan) of Strongsville and three nieces. Edward is predeceased by his parents, Chester and Mary.

Per his wishes, a funeral mass will be held at Saint Paul’s Catholic Church in Norwalk, Ohio (details to be shared at a later date) and Military service will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
