I waited to post this obituary for my father Edward James Casey. I wanted to get my thoughts together and tell the real story of Ed Casey. My dad was a drunk and a gambler, he was abusive physically and mentally to me, my sister and my mother and to several women he dated over the years. He was thrown in jail for a week because he physically beat the woman he was living with. They took away all his guns to make sure he wouldn't shoot her when he was released. He wanted his ashes to be spread on the home stretch at Santa Anita race track because he spent so much money there. The only good thought I can think about him is that I know he is sitting in Hell, blaming everyone else for him being there. I wish I could have pissed on his ashes.
