Eddie's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Edward "Eddie" Gallagher, a beacon of joy and kindness in our lives, who left us on November 30, 2024. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on December 23, 1971 to Edward and Elaine (Hannon) Gallagher, Eddie will forever be remembered for his laughter, generosity, and genuine spirit.
Eddie's jovial personality was the life of every gathering he attended. His kindness and caring demeanor were infectious, and he always made everyone around him feel special. Above all, it was his giving nature that resonated most. Eddie had an innate sense of compassion and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
While renowned for his love of a good laugh and a party, Eddie was also fiercely dedicated when it came to his family. His greatest pride and joy were his children, whom he adored. Survivors include his wife Amy (Donovan) and their children, Michael (Eryka Vargas) of Olyphant, PA and Alivia of Seminole, FL. Also surviving are his sister Lynn (Vincent) Tanana, niece Victoria Tanana, nephew Vincent Pio Tanana, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his daughter Breigh Anna Gallagher.
Eddie's legacy is one of hard work, dedication, and a life well-lived. He touched many lives with his vivacity and warmth and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A funeral service to celebrate Eddie's life will be held at 10:00 AM on December 10, 2024, with one hour of visitation from 9:00-10:00 at Holy Cross Parish at Saint Patrick's Church, Olyphant, PA. We invite those who knew and loved Eddie to join us in bidding our final farewell to a man whose joy and kindness will continue to live in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a gift to the National Kidney Foundation in remembrance of Eddie.
