I’m filled with immense gratitude for having Ed in my life.
I met Ed when I was 13, while trying to raise money to play basketball in Holland. The trip was expensive, so I created a presentation to share with potential sponsors. On Julie’s suggestion, I reached out to Ed — and he generously helped sponsor my trip.
That trip to Holland became my first time traveling outside the country, and my first experience competing and connecting with peers from all over the world. Nearly twenty years later, it still stands out as one of my core memories.
From that point on, Ed continued to root for me, and eventually gave me the opportunity to work for him at his insurance agency.
I have such deep appreciation and respect for Ed — not only as a man, but also as a father.
He was a great man who lived an impactful life, and his legacy will continue to last for years to come.
