My heartfelt condolences to Lisa, Edison, Frankie (all who my family and I still hope to meet someday), and Ed's parents and brother David who I grew up with in Currituck, NC. Eddie brought so much joy into our life with his cheerful smile and outgoing personality. I cherish our time together as kids on the wrestling and track team, waterskiing, or just hanging out. I will miss my friend dearly, but will keep the memories I have close. You were bigger than life!!

So sorry to hear of Ed's passing, thoughts and prayers to all the family. Fond memories of Ed in school with our son Jerry Porter, Currituck High School. Love Lee and Debbie Porter

I was totally heartbroken  when I heard the news of Ed's passing. My heart aches for Lisa, the boys and both their families. It has been many years since we’ve all hung out, but when we did meet, I was amazed at the love he shared with Lisa. They endured so many trials and miracles together. They are a light to others, to me, emulating their joy, kindness and love.

His smile!

Ed never complained about our women’s group taking over his house, helped us with every project, and always greeted us with his big smile and hugs. RIP Ed.  What a huge loss to this world.

Lisa,  my heart aches for you and the boys. May you feel Ed walking beside you in your hearts. I love you dearly, Lisa.

My condolences go out to Lisa, Edison and Frankie. Ed was a great friend, dad, co-worker, but not so much golfer. Ed....your humor on the golf course will be greatly missed. You will always be remembered.
In response to "How did you first meet Ed?"
Rest easy my friend! It was awesome knowing you and growing up around you!
Praying for the whole family.  There will never be another like Ed.  I'm grateful for the memories I have of him as my friend when I needed one the most, Dr. Triceps -- the superstar athlete, hanging with his mom and him on Bell's Island, watching football games on Dave's couch our Freshmen year, roommates through four years of college, my best man, the adventurer who moved out West, and most importantly, an amazing husband to Lisa and a loving father to his boys.  He packed a lot into a short period of time.  We love you Eddie and we will miss you.
My heart goes out to you Lisa, Edison and Frankie. Ed was such a kind neighbor- and such an amazing husband and father.  His smile was infectious and his love for his family was so evident and beautiful. I loved when he’d be out playing with the boys and Anna and I’d get a chance to catch up too :) I can’t thank you enough for sharing your story and journeys. You are all inspiring, loved and I will absolutely bear hug my family and all of you in honor of Ed. Jolena
Ed was the absolute best — truly devoted to his family along with a big heart and a terrific sense of humor. He always had an optimistic outlook and a good joke. We will sorely miss you Ed.
I am deeply sorry for the loss of your beautiful son, husband, father and friend. May you find some peace in the knowledge that love never dies. In that way he will be with you always.
Oh man. Rip my CrossFit Sandy WOD buddy. You always knew how to push someone to do their best. Thanks for your amazing kindness and camaraderie.  You will be missed.
We feel so lucky to have known Ed. He will be greatly missed. We love you Casmer family!
Always will remember Ed with a huge smile, an impish sense of mischief, and a true family man. When Ed was 13 years old, he was one of the only guests along with his mom, Sara and dad, Dennis to witness my courthouse wedding to his cousin, Craig. We spent many weekends with the Casmer’s at their home on the Currituck Sound and many hours on their boat where Ed was usually being towed along waterskiing. He was always active, energetic, and the life of the party. I loved watching his beautiful life he created with his beautiful college sweetheart, Lisa and his sweet boys, Edison and Frankie. Sending my love to Sara, Dennis, David and Stephanie as well.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Ed was always happy-go-lucky and loved everyone. Sara and David my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.
I'm so sorry to hear about Eddie boy. He was great friend and I loved his spirit! Even though I was better than him at golf, it was always a blast playing! I know he'd appreciate the trash talk.  Rest in peace my friend!
Ed, thanks for laughs, it was a pleasure to work with you and get to know you. Rest in peace my friend. My sincere condolences to Lisa and the boys.
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you Sara, his wife Lisa and two sons,  may he rest in peace.
I’m so very sorry for your loss!  Ed and I would talk weekly at what was 24 Hour Fitness. My deepest condolences.💔
