On behalf of all of us at the Utah Support Advocates for Recovery Awareness (USARA), I would like to share our deepest condolences to his friends and family. Edward was as kind as he was intelligent and truly remarkable on both counts. He possessed genuine and unconditional compassion for the suffering of other people. Iโ€™m grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know him. He will be greatly missed

Thank you to all the friends and family who sent photos of Edward for this video.
Iโ€™ll never forget the bond you and my Josie shared, she absolutely adored you and loved watching you play your guitar. You will be missed Edward, we love you.
I have so many fond memories with Edward. He was my sister Maraโ€™s first love and they spent close to a decade together. In that time he became part of our family. He was incredibly smart, loved music and loved to read. He loved my sister so deeply. I am so saddened to hear this news and he will be greatly missed.

I did not know Eddie well. I followed him on and off throughout the years because he is part of my family. I always had the sense that he had a good heart and pure motives and hoped he would find happiness with Mara, his dear friend. My heart is hurting for those most close to him, who are grieving deeply. My love to him and all who love him.

My Dear Sweet Eddy,

I will never forget the joy that your grandfather Parley had when you came into the world. Your grandfather was thrilled that you were the first blue eyed grandchild, since the rest of us have brown eyes.

The first time I met you I thought I had seen an an angel. You were one of the most beautiful children I have ever seen in my life.

As you grew into a wonderful young man, I remember your love of reading, music and animals. Your heart was so big you could drive a train through it.

The relationship that you and your mother had was one of the closest I have ever witnessed. Her voice lit up when she talked about you.

I remember the wonderful times we had when you and Maura would invite me to come and spend time with you.

I love you and will miss you terribly.

My prayers go out to your friends and our family, especially your mother Mary.

Rest In Peace and love my beautiful Edward,

Your loving Aunt Annette Swainston

In response to "What was the most fun you ever had with Edward?"
I met Eddy in junior high, but didnt get to know him until years later after meeting my husband Darryl. They were good friends. Eddy shared his love of music with everyone that he could, I'm grateful to have some CDs he made for me. Eddy was a great guy and an even better friend. He will be forever missed by us.
I remember attending a family cookout at Eddy and Mara's home with Mary and Kali and Kali's kids. It was my first time meeting Eddy and he made me feel like one of the family. We talked a little about music ( we liked a lot of the same bands) and I liked him immediately. I could tell he had a good soul and had a lot of love for his family. It was a day of good food, laughter, and togetherness. I regret not having the chance to get to know him better, but I'm thankful for having met him. Rest In Peace, Eddy.
I met Eddy and Mara many years ago, and continued a relationship with Eddy for a while after our initial meeting. He was such a kind soul and genuine human. Iโ€™ve thought about him over the years. He was uniquely kind and very easy to get along with. I can see that he was loved for the amazing person he was. My heart goes out to his loved ones. I wonโ€™t forget him.

I remember when me and eddy were in our preteens, we used to get blankets and make tents in our living room. Eddy's dad and my mom would walk into the room mad we had changed all the heavy item's around to hold up our blankets. They were mad at us for making a mess and me and eddy were mad they ruined our fort. Ha...thanks for the beautiful memory I will always hold it close to my heart little brother. ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—
