Eduardo Miranda Cunanan, 82, from Pampanga, Philippines, passed peacefully on Friday, March 19, 2021 in San Diego, California where he lived for many years.

Eduardo, known to many as Ed, is survived by his wife Danie. He was dearly loved by his brothers Manny and Romy, his sisters Nita and Norma. Ed was blessed with many loving children Marie, Ziggy, Sheila, Frinee, Edwardson and Clarence, as well as plenty of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Eduardo had many interests, but had a passion for quotes! He memorized a lot of inspirational quotes and can randomly recite them. He owned a book called The Treasury of Quotes by Jim Rohn and in this book, he specifically highlighted two quotes. First is “Don’t say, ‘If I could, I would.’ Say, ‘If I can, I will.’” The second is “I used to say, ‘I sure hope things will change.’ Then I learned that the only way things are going to change for me is when I change.”

A vigil will be held for Eduardo on Friday, April 16 at O’Connor Mortuary located at 25301 Alicia Pkwy, Laguna Hills, CA 92653. Visitation will be from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 17 at Santiago De Compostela Catholic Church (Outdoor Pavillion) 21682 Lake Forest Dr, Lake Forest, CA 92630. After the mass, Eduardo will be laid to rest at Ascension Cemetery 24754 Trabuco Rd, Lake Forest, CA 92630. Any gestures of goodwill, and/or sympathy cards may be sent to his wife, Danila Cunanan at 26836 Oso Pkwy, Apt #5201, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
