Eduardo's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eduardo Altamirano, aka Blas Garcia, who departed from us on April 5, 2024. Born on August 16, 1943, Eduardo lived an abundant and vibrant life, characterized by his charismatic charm and stubborn tenacity.

Eduardo's personality was a veritable mosaic of traits. He was a loving, caring, witty, and a humorous man. His impatience, persistence, and strong will were sources of amusement to those who knew him well. It was these qualities, along with his undeniable charm, that enabled him to touch so many lives during his years.

Among the most important lessons Eduardo imparted were the virtues of never giving up, of inner strength, and of appreciating the paramount importance of family. His principles were embedded in his strong work ethic, which he passed down to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Eduardo was a man of significant accomplishments, and his pride in his achievements was always tempered by his humility. He was immensely proud of his wife, his children, and his family as a whole. He established a successful contracting business, and his handiwork graced many establishments, including malls, houses, bowling alleys, and businesses. He was known to be luckier than most at the casino, an ability that only added to his charm.

His greatest legacy, however, is his family. Their treasured memories of Eduardo often feature him checking in on them and brightening their day with his jokes. His stories about his glory days in high school sports were a family favorite. The loving relationship he shared with his wife through 60 years of marriage served as a beacon of dedication and commitment for his children and grandchildren, and his pride in their accomplishments was evident in his every word and gesture.

Every Morning he would drink his coffee, eat his cookies, read his newspaper and go down the line to ask about all of his family.

Eduardo is preceded in death by His Mom Carolina Garcia and his Brother Ernest (Neto) Garcia. He is survived by his wife, Antonia (Toni) Garcia, His Son Eddie Garcia, His Son Eric Garcia and wife Jezelle, His Daughter, Denise Gardner, Husband Dawaylon Gardner and Theresa Romero,  His Grandchildren, Cassandra Gurule, Anna Marie Garcia, Jazmine Garcia, Eric Garcia Jr., Andrew Garcia, Eva Garcia, Jenna Garcia, Isaac Garcia, Xavier Gardner. Great Grandchildren, Jeremiah, Izzabell, Nevaeh and Janelle Garcia. And special chosen family Karina Montoya and Honorary Grandchildren Jonnathan, Tatyanna and Antonio Montoya

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to help cover Eduardo's final expenses. You can do so at the following URL: https://everloved.com/life-of…

A celebration of Eduardo's life will be held on Wednesday April 24, 2024 at 5pm-7pm at Don Newton Taylor Ranch Community Center. This will be a time to unite as family and enjoy some refreshments in remembrance of Eduardo.

As we bid Eduardo farewell, we find solace in the lessons he taught us, the love he bestowed upon us, and the memories he left us. He left a profound impact on this world, and he will be dearly missed and eternally loved.
