Edna M. Martin

September 3, 1933 - October 19, 2025

Edna Mae (Wilson) Martin, 92, formerly of Goshen, was called home to Jesus on Sunday, October 19, 2025. She passed peacefully in her sleep, finally free of pain and confusion. Born September 3, 1933, in Bell County, KY, she was the daughter of the late George and Sarah Wilson and loving sister to Rosalie and Bud Kinser, Lucy (Wilson) Bush, Isabel O’neil and Bill Wilson.

Edna married Arthur S. Martin on December 24, 1955. She resided in Fayetteville, OH, before making her home in Goshen. A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her sons, George A. and Russell L. Martin, as well as grandchildren Jeremy Martin, Rachel Bennett, Kasey (Erin) Martin, and Cassie (Matthew Dapper) Martin. She was the proud great-grandma of Cheyenne (Sean Allen), Karison, Autumin, Aidan, and Talon Bennett, Leighton Dapper, Noah Martin and great-great-granddaughter Hazel Bennett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, husband Arthur, and daughters-in-law Judy and Mary. Edna was a simple woman who lived a simple life. She liked tending to her plants, the Golden Girls, Lifetime movies, hymns, Maxwell House instant coffee, and biscuits and gravy. More than anything, she believed firmly in God and loved her family.

Friends will be received from 12 Noon to 1 PM on Friday, October 24 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will take place at 1 PM on Friday. The interment will take place at Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford, OH.
