Edna's obituary
She got her education in Kingston public school, then went on to Kingston Tec. to pursue classes in English, math, typing there she graduated . In 1944 she joined the Army, A.T.S. (Jamaica Artillery Territorial Services)
where 6years later was honorably discharged as a Sargent. Then traveled to England to pursue a Career in Nursing. In 1954, became a RN, 1956 ,a certified midwife .Leaving England, she went to Canada got a job in O.B.G.Y.N. Visited many US Hospitals. She fell in love with St. Francis Hospital, where the Sisters of Mercy sponsored her. She continued to work there seven years. That is where she met her husband Robert Teckel. They then had a Daughter Ruth Murillo in 1959. Edna was survived by Sisters Perley & May. Edna remained in the medical nursing industry at Albert Einstein for 28 years. She Retired in1992. Edna Loved to read her SD Union Tribune . Edna lived a full life with the lord by her side every step of the way. She will be remembered as the Wonderful, Ma, Grandma & Great Grandma. Edna was very Loved & will never be forgotten.
