Even though life did not give us the time together that I wish we had, you will always be a part of me. Our story may have been different than most, but that does not make it any less meaningful. I carry both the questions and the love in my heart.

Although her daughter was adopted and did not have the opportunity to be raised by her, the bond of motherhood remained part of her story. Their paths did not cross again in person, and her daughter’s reunion with her came through receiving her ashes a moment filled with both grief and reflection. Despite …
