Growing up on a farm, Edna's spirited personality shone through early in life. She often recalled telling her kindergarten teacher that she would rather "slop hogs" than attend school. Edna had a passion for live sports, especially cheering for her Ohio State Buckeyes and watching golf tournaments. In her later years, her mornings were sweetened by waffles, pancakes, or French toast, and her evenings were marked by time spent enjoying Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, two shows she never missed.

A firm believer in the virtue of hard work, Edna instilled this value in her family and made it a cornerstone of her legacy. Her memory will forever be treasured in the recipes she lovingly passed down, the laughter and stories shared around her dining table, and the love she had for her family.
