Edmee's obituary
In Loving Memory of Edmee Angela Joseph
May 14, 1940 – March 20, 2025
Born in Trinidad to Ruth and Percy Noel, Edmee Angela Joseph lit up the world with her warmth, laughter, and vibrant spirit. From her early days at Osmond Girls High School to graduating with distinction as a nurse and midwife in 1965, Edmee devoted her life to care and compassion.
In 1969, she married the love of her life, Reginald Joseph, and together they built a home filled with love, faith, and unforgettable road trips. They raised three children—Gerard (deceased), Arlene, and Andre—and later moved to Queens, New York, and then Atlanta, where Edmee continued her nursing career and found her spiritual home at Faith and Grace Lutheran Church.
Even in retirement, Edmee remained a joyful presence—known for her cooking, her humor as “TriniMama,” and her beautiful paintings. Twice honored by the Georgia Nurses Association, she touched countless lives with her wisdom and kindness.
Edmee’s journey brought her back to New York for care in her final years, but her faith never wavered. She was a beacon of strength, joy, and grace until the very end.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, sister Shirley, extended family, and many friends who will forever cherish her legacy.
“Life is too short not to laugh—so make sure you do it often, and do it loud enough for the heavens to hear.”
May her soul rest in peace and rise in glory.
