Edie was a devout attendee at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, where she found solace and spiritual fulfillment. Her faith was paramount in her life; indeed, one of her greatest accomplishments was her baptism as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1971. Her faith was evident in her actions and words, always endeavoring to embody the teachings of kindness and generosity she valued so dearly. Edie loved to have good clean wholesome fun in life despite hardship.
Edie was a woman of many interests. She reveled in the thrill of mysteries, and took tremendous pleasure in the music of Elvis. Her fondness for TV shows like Leave it to Beaver, Lassie, and The Andy Griffith show Mayberry RFD, Murder She Wrote reaffirmed her appreciation for the simple, wholesome joys of life. Her love for art, particularly landscapes, mirrored her capacity to find beauty in every facet of life, just as her favorite games Yahtzee and Sorry and cribbage echoed her playful spirit. She loved to sing from an early age and had a beautiful voice. She sang My Happiness at her eighth grade graduation. She was involved in high school chorus and carried the lead vocal. She sang clear up to her death, singing kingdom melodies on November 2, 2025. Our strength our hope our confidence, and Jehovah's Attributes.
Among Edie's favorite recreational activities were playing Yahtzee, watching her favorite shows, and engaging in JW activities. She relished walking, a testament to her love for simple pleasures. She held dear to her heart vacation memories from Hawaii, and her favorite local spot, Denny's.
In every aspect of life, Edie epitomized love and kindness, always espousing the philosophy, "Don't engage with others unless you can be kind." Her legacy is one of spiritual interests, wholesome activities, and loving kindness in action. Edie's zest for life was palpable; she loved life and found joy in serving Jehovah God no matter what. Her vivacious spirit, effervescent personality, and legacy of love will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
