So sorry to just find out that Brother Brookins passed in  December 2021.  He was such an impressionable person that I had the pleasure of meeting and knowing.  For years my gospel group, The Spiritual Harmonizers were regular participants in Christmas Gospel Concerts that Brother Brookins coordinated at Ft. Myer and Ft. Belvoir.   He was the consumate professional in every way.   His planned events were always 1st Class all the way and very well attended which is a tribute his impact on the people that knew and came in contact with him.   May he rest in peace and may his family know that his legacy will not be forgotten.
